was borne in 1960 (DOB: 20.07.1960(042) Lahore

He has done his matriculation from Govt. Central Model School Lower Mall and intermediate from prestigious Government College (GCU). He joined Allama Iqbal Medical College for MBBS in 1979, graduate as doctor Dr. Sajid Nisar in 1985. He started his professional career as House Officer in Services Hospital, Lahore and then later on as Medical Officer in Mayo Hospital, Lahore. Journey of getting knowledge is his passion and to achieved this he went to Ireland where he worked at various posts of rising seniority till 1995 in well-known institutions.

In 1994 he has been awarded MRCP (Ire.) degree by the College of Physicians Republic of Ireland. And then in next year he passed the MRCP (UK) examination (Glasgow) in March 1995.  In his heart the passion to serve his nation he came back to Pakistan and joined Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore as Senior Registrar.

He has been selected as Senior Registrar by PPSC in 1998 and joined his parent institution as Senior Registrar, where he later on promoted to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and finally Professor of Medicine in 2011. During his professional career he worked in various institutions of Lahore including: SIMS/Services Hospital, Lahore, KEMC/Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore PGMI/SHL and AIMC/Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.

In November 2006 he also got fellowship FRCP (Edin.) of Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh – UK) which was really great achievement of his life and a great milestone.
In SIMS/Services Hospital, Lahore he promoted as Associate Professor of Medicine in November 2011. In all his career month “November” has lucky for him as he is also selected as Professor of Medicine in November 2013. 
After a long time Public Service Commission arrived in Punjab and he passed PPSC examination as Professor of Medicine at top merit in all over the Punjab. Being top merit he posted in SIMS/Services Hospital, Lahore where he was already working on Acting /CC basis.
After retirement of Prof. Aziz ur-Rehman he is now Professor of Medicine & Head of the Department of Medicine SIMS/SHL

  • Permanently registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (Reg. No. 11493-P)
  • Temporarily registered with General Medical Council (Ireland) from 1990 – 1995 (Reg. No. 13988)
  • Temporarily registered with General Medical Council (UK) 5074123

And in total he has teaching experience of:

  • 25 years of teaching experience and presently working as Professor of Medicine & Head of the Department of Medicine.
  • Involved in the clinical teaching programmes both undergraduate and post-graduate at various medical colleges entailing AIMC, KEMC, PGMI, SIMS

 

  • Medical Tutor at Royal College Physician and Surgeon Ireland.
